Stanwick Lakes Roman Heritage talk and walk

New talk regarding the Roman occupation of the Stanwick Lakes area.

Join Nadia Norman, Heritage Coordinator, in this new talk as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project “From Iron To Empire” exploring the Roman era, using interactive projects across the site to uncover and share the stories of a changing landscape and the people who once called it home.

Walk & Wedgwood Museum | Stoke on Trent

This event consists of a 6 mile walk from the Wedgwood Factory and then two optional additional offerings to make a full day of your time in Wedgwood.

TWN Walking Group | Castle Eden Dene 6-7 mile Circular walk

Sunday 10 May 2026

This walk will be between 6 and 7 miles depending on how people feel on the day. The longer route while steeper has more opportunity to see the wildlife.

TWN Walking Group | Evening walk Heaton Park & Jesmond Dene

Wednesday 27 May 2026

Join a group evening walk in Heaton Park & Jesmond Dene. This should take around 2.5 hours including rest and photo stops. This walk was run in 2024 and back by popular request. At the end it will be possible to have a drink and something to eat at the Brandling Villa, which takes food orders until 20:45.
