Thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Active Wellbeing Week and help make it such a success. 2019 was our best event ever and with your help we hope to make next year even greater.
Congratulations to the 7,805 people who pledged to increase their activity. And an awesome high-five to everyone who’s continued their pledge throughout the year. We’ve had some amazing stories from people who have used Active Wellbeing Week as a springboard to a healthier, happier lifestyle. If you’d like to tell us about your journey to help inspire future pledgers, please get in touch at email@example.com and you could be one of next year’s Champions.
We were so overwhelmed with the positivity that came out of Active Wellbeing Week, that we wanted to share some of our highlights.
83% of participants increased their activity levels, with 7 out of 10 people taking part to improve their wellbeing. The top 4 activities CSSC funded were Yoga, Table Tennis, Pilates and Laughter yoga, with at least 100 other types of activities requested, such as: piano lessons and boot camps to ballet classes and hula hooping.
Special mention and a well done to HMRC who had the most pledges, for the second year in a row. 1,350 to be exact. DWP, MoD, Home Office and Land registry complete the top 5 departments, but we’re really hoping to smash the 2,000 barrier for the first time ever.
One way you could do that might be to follow in the footsteps of the Rutherford Laboratory. They joined up with their area CSSC volunteer team, HR department and wellbeing reps to put on a whole week of fun, inclusive activities, taster sessions, quizzes, BBQs and competitions for their entire team. We can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned in 2020 and we’ll be there to share their adventures.
If you’re already thinking about how to activate your office and improve their wellbeing in 2020, email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest and we’ll get in touch soon.
Thanks again for supporting this incredible initiative, held in partnership with CSEP (Civil Service Employee Policy). We look forward to seeing you all again next summer.
